Cheval Blanc owes its irresistible triumph not only to its traditional integrity, but also to its owners' dedication to quality. Its success is even more evident in difficult vintages. Stressed by an early scarcity of water but thanks to an exceptional terroir of gravel, the Cabernet Franc has maintained a welcome acidity which gives the wine a lively colour and an exemplary appearance. Solid on the palate and well balanced, a good proportion of oak holds sway while awaiting its fruitiness to come into its own. Aromas of forest floor add to the complexity of a wine that offers great satisfaction right now.
